Model: Reynolds Pottag
Serial Number: 63249
Used Price: $2595.00
Specs for this horn:
This authentic yellow brass Reynolds Pottag is in fantastic shape! At some point in recent history this horn was completely overhauled and the lacquer job was very well done but they left the valves in tough shape. We have taken out the side-play, end-play of the valves and ultrasonically cleaned the instrument and it plays very well indeed. This horn dates to 1961, bearing the RMC shield, signifying that Richards Music owned Reynolds. (Thanks to www.contemporacorner.com)
Model: Pottag
Serial Number: 53939
Used Price: $3795.00
Specs for this horn:
This is a nickel silver Pottag Model made by the Roth-Reynolds Instrument Company in Cleveland, Ohio dated around 1948. The horn is in fantastic condition for the age. There are areas that have worn lacquer off, but this horn hasn’t suffered any major dents. The throat of the bell area was slightly crimped, but it came out beautifully. The valves have no end or side play, they hold good compression. I believe this horn sat in a closet for a very, very long time. All slides work smoothly. The horn has a robust tone color, with the effervescence of that great vintage sound. Includes original Case.
Model: Duerk D4M
Serial Number: 5
Used Price: $8595.00
Specs for this horn:
This is a great playing Duerk D4 that has been well maintained. Played professionally, it has helped the previous owner in solo competitions and to win various jobs. The horn is in polished yellow brass, with a detachable bell, adjustable pinky hook, hand rest, and thumb pad. The horn has been ultra sonically cleaned, end-play/side-play removed, and re-lubricated. The lead pipe has an Amado style water key and it comes in a Conn detachable bell gig case. Fantastic horn, at 1K less than new!
Specs for this horn:

Model: Lorenzo Sansone Bb
Serial Number: 2881
Used Price: $3,495.00
We salvaged this bell flare from a 5 valve Lorenzo Sansone Single Bb horn. The corpus was beyond repair, but the bell flare still has life in it. We cut the bell and added a Duerk ring, which is compatible with Alexander, Conn, Duerk, and most aftermarket ring threads. It is a medium to medium large flare, yellow brass, and at one point was (is) silver plated on the interior. The flare had one patch that we did not touch. Overall in decent shape and can offer the player a wide range of tonal colors.

This Elkhart Conn 8D, serial number M13650, was manufactured in 1969.00 The horn has an aftermarket Patterson lead pipe with an amato water key. There is a patch disc just above the bell ring on the side both inside and out, but it was done very well. The valves hold good compression, end play and side play have been removed, and they operate efficiently and quietly. The 3rd Bb slide is slightly mis-shapen, but we do not believe this inhibits performance. The valves have not been plated, and the horn resonates with the vintage charm.
