From Robert Worischek ---

“In the beginning was a dream...

I began to take this dream seriously. The result was a desire to develop what I already knew, to learn more, and to take my capabilities beyond existing limits.

A musical instrument is not merely an object - it is a blend of vision, intuition and knowledge.

It possesses the soul of the one who has respectfully and caringly developed and built it. An instrument is not developed in a day - the process takes years, if not decades, to complete.

Many prototypes were built, and I came to a point where I said to myself "This will never work!" - and wanted to give up...

...But the dream persisted, so I carried on!

One attempt was followed by another. Musicians tested the models for intonation, response etc. We dealt with problems step by step. This didn't always work right away, but of course I still had my dream and just kept at it.  Now we have come this far: our workshop builds the Pitzka classic horn, Slide Hampton plays our bass trombone, musicians of the music academy in Munich and musicians of the "Münchner Staatsoper" play our instruments.”
