Isn’t it always interesting, that when we have to write a bit about ourselves, the words and creativity seems to skid to a halt... I find myself wondering why this is, and find that what might be interesting you, isn’t my education or work... but what drives me...
I am passionate about the horn. So are a great many of you out there. The difference is that I started to be able to recognize shape/style/design with sound/tone/work. I began to sense this early on, and found that I had a talent for understanding how the instrument functions... for particular functions... So this lead me towards consulting. I love to work with players and their problems. It truly motivates me to help others find their solutions in regards to performance problems related to equipment. I have customers who envision a type of sound, and are creating a completely different sound due to the equipment they’ve chosen. To assist professionals in their equipment is no daunting task. I dare say that many of the pro’s out their have no idea that the equipment they perform on may hinder their performance in some way. So here I am to help. Often, I even find products for horn players that I don’t even sell, being a personal weakness as a salesperson, I guess. However, I view it to be more of a service. Assisting a horn player is my goal, and an actual sale continues to surprise me. Granted I now own my own business, so sales are critical, but I am encouraged by my friends and colleagues who support this new endeavor, and thank them for trusting me, and now, Siegfried’s Call, for their brass playing needs.
