In the summer of 2008, Mr. Lewis, Mr. Dürk and I discussed the possibilities of producing a Schmidt design double horn. By the fall of 2008, the plans were in place and now, Spring 2009, we have the LDx7 Bb/F double horn. Now in 2009, the production model is finished, and will be unveiled here in the US. The Schmidt model is very special, and we are all very happy with the outcome of this project. Once again, we have developed a model that can offer you more choice.
LDx7 “Schmidt”
Design features: long lead pipe design, nickel silver “Lewis” lead pipe, piston thumb valve (extra Bb piston included), string linkage for 1st, 2nd, 3rd valves, detachable bell, yellow brass, hand-lapped and machine honed slides.
Available options are: fixed bell, gold brass body, lacquer, Adjustable finger-hook, adjustable flipper (hand-rest)
