The Model LDx5 double french horn was born out of the collaboration of the hands and minds of two master craftsmen. The LDx5 is constructed from the best materials available, providing a premium foundation for the instrument. Stability of construction plus quality materials and the experience of master craftsmen Steven W. Lewis and Dietmar Dürk equals a formula for fantastic results.

The horn is traditional in design, but the concept behind the construction of the horn is innovative. The tools and engineering used to assist in hand-crafting the horn were developed in house, ensuring a standard and consistency in each horn's manufacture.

All bending and fitting of parts is achieved with care and accuracy. This means that every LDx5 horn is made with extraordinarily low stress levels.
