The Dürk D8 “Anton-Horner” Model double french horn is now available from Dürkhorns! This horn is sure to turn heads, as it defines high-performance. Crisp and clean articulation, evenness from bottom to top, and a core sound thick and rich with overtones. We believe it is one of the first Kruspe designs with Meinlschmidt valves. This horn is a must try for Kruspe horn lovers, and dissenters! There are many reasons that players have chosen to move away from a Kruspe designed horn to Geyer/Knopf styles, but the D8 is a reason to reconsider. Quick and agile, unlike the Kruspe stereotype of thick and tubby, with a richness of overtones that evoke that great American sound that has developed over the last 70 years or more.

The Model D8 double french horn is available in nickel-silver, gold-brass, or yellow brass. Other specifications are a 12.1mm bore, large bell, string linkage, mechanical reversible thumb linkage, hand-lapped and machine honed slides, independent Bb/F tuning slides, adjustable thumb pad, deluxe engraved valve caps.
